In order to collect water off of driveways, low lying areas and heavy run-off areas surface drainage may be needed. Other possible scenarios are; to discharge water to the street, storm sewers and less impacted areas.

We only use PVC sewer and drain type pipe with smooth interior walls.  Black corrugated pipe is not advised as it cannot efficiently carry high velocity and volume of water.  It can also become easily clogged with leaves and soil due to the inside corrugations.  Also, corrugated pipe cannot be cleaned or routed easily without damage.  And remember that black corrugated pipe has what are called soil tight fitting connections and not water tight as does PVC.  So not only do the connections leak water they can let roots in that love the water sitting in the corrugation channels.
