Rainwater management and harvesting has many benefits to both property owners and local governments. Increasing water demands, rising costs, mandatory restrictions and water quality concerns are some of the reasons for incorporating rainwater management solutions.

From rain gardens that re-charge ground water to cisterns and matrix tank systems that allow you to harvest and re-use rainwater, Atlantis Drainage can provide you with solutions.

By piping and diverting your sump pump and roof water to these other uses you can help reduce flooding and stream contamination as well as re-charge the water table and /or provide water for your own yard, plants, fishpond, swimming pool, etc and reduce your water consumption and costs. Did you know that a sump pump can generate 50,000 gallons or more of clean water per year? Also a 2,000 square foot house may average 50,000 gallons of runoff per year that can be filtered and stored and re-used in these ways.

Our current system is based upon "pipe and pond" philosophy in which storm water is a waste product. Storm water rushes into creeks or down curbs to storm sewers and in some cases into sanitary sewer systems and treatment plants. All of our paved areas (streets, sidewalks, driveways, etc.) prevent rain from doing what it's meant to do; filter through the ground. There is a better way that gets the storm water out of the curb and sewers and into our front and back yards and at the same time away from your foundation.

Atlantis Drainage Solutions, Inc. has been re-directing rainwater since 1997. Now we can provide you with many options to re-direct your rain water and to re-use it in many different ways while ensuring proper drainage and soil moisture management around your foundation.
